I saw one of these strange things the other day and wondered what the point was. It seems there is a loop hole in UK law that allows people with a regular car licence to drive a small articulated semi trailer (mini artic) under a pre- prescribed weight limit.
I found out much more about mini artic units from the helpful manufacturer Vipex.

Although I’m quite handy with a set of tools, unfortunately I don’t have anywhere that I can work on my car safely. I need to change the discs and pads and realistically it’s not a job that needs the (expensive) attention of a main dealer, but a quick check of the odometer reveals that my car is due another service already!
This got me thinking, do I really need to send my car to the main dealer and pay the exorbitant cost or should I just get a local garage to do this?
Whilst searching on Google I found these guys, Main Dealer Discount have an arrangement with franchised dealers to book workshop time when the garage is quiet. They get this workshop time at a huge reduction, some of which they pass over to their customers helping me keep my BMW service costs down. Sounds like a great idea!
My boss mentioned he was thinking about buying some personalised car registration numbers so I set about trying to find something suitable. I’m not sure he’ll go with any of my recommendations but there are loads to choose from over at The Plate Market.
